Join Hootie & the Blowfish In The “Hold My Hand Challenge”

February 04, 2020

Hootie & the Blowfish’s “Hold My Hand” will be the official anthem of the “Hold My Hand Challenge” created to celebrate and honor the birthday of Rosa Parks this February 4th.

The Rosa & Raymond Parks Institute and O Museum are challenging people to come together and hold hands with those around them to spread Mrs. Parks’ message of hope and unity. Upload an image or video of your hand holding experience to your favorite social media channel using the hashtag #HoldMyHandChallenge.

“Now more than ever the world needs to be reminded of Mrs. Parks’ gentle strength, her peaceful activism, and her capacity for compassion and forgiveness.” Says Darius Rucker, “We hope our song will provide a way to change hearts and minds.  Laws may have changed, but we still need to change people’s hearts.”
